3D Stained Glass Gingerbread House Pattern — Simplest Building in the Christmas Village
The simplest 3D pattern in the Christmas Village series, and a good first build if you have never assembled a stained glass object before. It is a compact house with a steep roof, no curves anywhere in the drawing, and a piece count low enough that a whole afternoon of cutting gets you to the solder. Despite that, it still makes an impression — most of that comes from how you treat the glass rather than from the pattern.
The house measures 5.12″ tall × 3.94″ wide × 3.94″ deep (130 × 100 × 100 mm), built from 41 pieces of glass. Note the depth — this is a cube-like building, not a flat façade, and the square footprint is what lets it sit in a village row without looking thin.
Two things are included that are easy to miss. The pattern ships with a snowy Christmas tree in two sizes, so the house arrives with something planted beside it rather than standing alone. And the roof and walls take glass paint well: snow on the roof, a pattern on the windows, a line of icing along the eaves. That is the intended finish — the reference photographs use it, and the piece looks flat without it.
Put an LED strip inside and it becomes a nightlight, which is how most people end up displaying it.
