Magical Santa Stained Glass Moon — Round Night Sky, PDF and SVG
A full moon with Santa worked into the face, surrounded by stars in a deep navy sky. The trick that makes this design work is the moon itself: a pale round shape with Santa’s features picked out in it, so the figure reads as part of the night sky rather than as a Santa pasted onto a disc. At 7.64 inches it is a genuine hanging piece — big enough to read from across a room, small enough to hang almost anywhere. Download it instantly and trace it from the printed sheet, or take the vector file to a plotter or laser cutter.
The panel measures 7.64″ × 7.64″ (194 × 194 mm) and is built from 26 pieces of glass. At 26 pieces in a round outline this is a genuinely approachable project, marked as a simple difficulty design. The interior goes quickly; the curved perimeter is where the work is. Plan an evening or two.

Where it works
A window, a porch, or hung on a wall as a decoration with a backing board. The navy sky needs light behind it: against daylight the stars and the moon separate cleanly, and at night a small light behind the piece makes the sky glow. If you are hanging it on a wall rather than in a window, mount it on a backing board so the round shape reads cleanly and the piece hangs flat.
Who buys this pattern
Hobbyists building a Christmas collection; beginners who want a round piece at a friendly piece count; plotter and laser cutter owners; and makers who sell small finished ornaments at craft fairs or as gifts. The moon-and-Santa combination also works for anyone who prefers a winter piece to a strictly religious one.
Licence
A personal and commercial licence is included. Make it for yourself, make it as gifts, or cut and sell the finished piece — no per-sale fees and no obligation to report.
Printing and finishing
Print the PDF at 100% scale on US Letter or A4 and check a measurement before cutting — never use “fit to page”, or the circle will print undersized. If you want a different size, the free stained glass pattern resizer will scale the drawing. With the stars clustered around the edge, label the small pieces as you cut them; they are similar enough to mix up once you have a tray of them, and finding the wrong one at the end costs more time than labelling did.
A note before you start
You are buying the pattern only — glass, came, solder, any backing board or light, and any finished piece are not included. The photographs show the design completed by other makers using their own materials.
