Gnome Stained Glass Patterns — Two Designs in One Download
This download gives you two separate gnome stained glass patterns in a single file, and the two are deliberately different sizes so you can decide how much time you want to spend. The first is a gnome in striped pants, small and quick. The second pairs two gnomes with a pumpkin, roughly twice as tall, for when you want a proper garden panel. Use one, use both, or make one for yourself and give the other away.
Design 1 — gnome in striped pants
- Height: 5.24″ (133 mm)
- Glass: 16 pieces
- Foil needed: about 49 inches
This is the faster of the two. At 16 pieces the count is genuinely beginner-friendly, and the striped pants give you clean parallel lines that are quick to cut and easy to keep straight.
Design 2 — two gnomes with a pumpkin
- Height: 8.86″ (225 mm)
- Glass: 31 pieces
- Foil needed: about 103 inches
The taller panel is the one to plan a weekend around. Thirty-one pieces is still well within reach for a steady beginner, and the pumpkin gives the composition a focal point that reads well from a distance — which matters if this goes in a garden.

Where these work
Garden décor and garden stakes, window panels, porch posts, or Halloween displays — gnomes read as folkloric rather than scary, so they suit autumn décor without being limited to it. Both designs are marked as simple difficulty with an intricate overall shape: the pieces are kind, the outline is the work.
Licence
A personal and commercial licence covers both patterns. Make them for yourself, make them as gifts, or cut and sell the finished panels — no additional fees.
Printing and finishing
Print the PDF at 100% scale on US Letter or A4; do not use “fit to page”. Measure both designs on the printout before cutting so you know which one you are starting with. Start with the smaller gnome if this is your first piece — it teaches the same technique in a fraction of the time.
A note before you start
You are buying the patterns only. Glass, came, solder and any finished piece are not included. The photographs show completed work made by other makers from these same two designs.
