Stained Glass Snowman Pattern with Umbrella and Blue Hat — Printable PDF
This snowman is caught mid-glide across a snowy scene, one skate lifted, a bright blue hat tipped back on his head. The pose is what makes this design work: it gives the panel a diagonal line and a sense of movement that a standing snowman never has, and it reads clearly as a shape even from across a room. Download it instantly and trace it from the printed sheet, or take the vector file to a plotter or laser cutter.
The finished panel measures 9.06″ tall (230 mm) and is built from 39 pieces of glass. Plan for roughly 204 inches (5.2 metres) of foil on the lead lines — a useful number to have before you start, because foil consumption is what usually decides how a project is scheduled. At 39 pieces this is an ordinary difficulty project: the individual shapes are workable, the outline is the work.

Where it works
A window facing the street, a porch panel, or a large wall space. At 9 inches tall this is a proper vertical panel rather than an ornament: it wants a window with vertical proportions, and it will look lost in a small square pane. The blue in the hat gives you a natural colour to key the rest of the palette around.
Who buys this pattern
Hobbyists building a winter or Christmas collection; anyone decorating a large window or porch panel where a small ornament would disappear; beginners ready for a multi-figure piece with a clear plan; and makers who sell finished panels at craft fairs or as seasonal gifts.
Licence
A personal and commercial licence is included. Make it for yourself, make it as gifts, or cut and sell the finished panel — no per-sale fees and no obligation to report.
Printing and finishing
Print the PDF at 100% scale on US Letter or A4 and verify a measurement before you cut — never use “fit to page”, or the whole panel will come out undersized. If you need a different size for your window, the free stained glass pattern resizer will scale the drawing for you. Keep the pieces ordered and labelled as you cut; with 39 pieces, mixing up two similar shapes costs more time than labelling does.
A note before you start
You are buying the pattern only — glass, came, solder and any finished panel are not included. The photographs show the design completed by other makers using their own materials.
