Elegant Stained Glass Christmas Lamp with Cardinal — 20-Inch Window Panel
This stained glass Christmas lamp design is built around a lantern: a tall window panel with a cardinal perched beside it, Art Deco curves in the metalwork, and snow along the base. The lamp is drawn as an object rather than a light source — this is the pattern only, and the glow in the photographs comes from lighting someone has added behind it. What you get is the drawing, at a size that makes it the focal point of a wall.
The panel measures 20″ × 20″ (508 × 508 mm) and uses 122 pieces of glass. That is a substantial project — realistically two to three full weekends of work, and the pattern is marked as an ordinary difficulty design with a square shape. If this is your first large piece, be honest with yourself about the time it will take.

About resizing
This pattern is supplied at 20 inches square. If you need a different size, ask — the panel is drawn on a regular grid and scales predictably, so a different size is possible, but the standard download is what you get by default.
Where it works
A large window, a stairwell, or a porch panel where there is room to step back from it. At 20 inches it reads from across a room, which is the point: the bow, the gold accents and the snow all depend on having viewing distance. Backlighting it with an LED panel makes the glass do what stained glass does best, but it works just as well hung against daylight.
Who buys this pattern
Experienced hobbyists ready for a long project; anyone furnishing a large entryway or stairwell and needs one substantial piece rather than several small ones; makers who take commissions and sell finished panels; and customers looking for a Christmas gift for someone who cuts glass.
Licence
A personal and commercial licence is included. Make it for yourself, commission it out, or cut and sell the finished panel — no per-sale fees and no reporting back.
Printing and finishing
Print the PDF at 100% scale — at this size, check that your printer can handle the paper, and use a plotter or large-format printer if it cannot. Print the reference image separately and keep it beside your cutting mat. Work in sections: build the lamp body, the cardinal, and the snow separately, then dry-fit everything before the final solder. With 122 pieces, an ironing bead or foil technique suits the long straight runs.
A note before you start
You are buying the pattern only. Glass, came, solder, any lighting hardware, and any finished panel are not included. The photographs show the design completed by other makers.
