Stained Glass Chicken Pattern 3 — Rustic Decor, Beginner-Friendly PDF
This is the third design in a five-part chicken collection, and it is the one to start with if you like rustic style but want a project that actually gets finished. The bird is drawn with open, uncomplicated shapes — 25 pieces of glass in total, few of them small — so the cutting goes quickly and the pattern stays readable while you work. Download it instantly and trace it from the printed sheet, or take the vector file to a plotter or laser cutter.
The finished piece measures 6.18″ × 4.17″ (157 × 106 mm). The pattern is marked as a simple difficulty design; the shape count is friendly and the outline is the part that takes patience. Plan a couple of evenings for it rather than one long session.
What is in the download
- Chicken Letter PDF — the pattern at 1:1 scale for US Letter paper
- Chicken A4 PDF — the same pattern laid out for A4
- Chicken PNG — high-resolution reference image
- All files folder — everything in one place
Both paper sizes are included so you can print at true size without hunting for the right setting.

Where it works
Kitchen windows, pantry doors, a farmhouse entryway, or a garden shed — anywhere the rustic register suits the room. At 6 inches tall it reads clearly from across a kitchen without dominating the wall.
Licence
A personal and commercial licence is included. Make it for yourself, make it as gifts, or cut and sell the finished piece — no per-sale fees and no reporting back.
Printing and finishing
Print at 100% scale and check a measurement on the printout before cutting glass — never use “fit to page”. Trace your colours onto the sheet, or cut the PNG on a machine. With 25 pieces the interior is quick; spend your grinding time on the outer edge, in several passes, and this one comes together cleanly.
A note before you start
You are buying the pattern only. Glass, came, solder and any finished piece are not included.

Who doesn’t like a chicken hanging in your window!!? – This is a fun pattern to make – I wrapped the whole pattern in wire for more stability since my cats like bumping it with their noses :).
